The Infrastructure Research Group (IRG) at Georgia Tech is directed by Dr. Adjo Amekudzi-Kennedy, Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The IRG's vision is to develop thought leaders in civil infrastructure systems and sustainability -- engineering and policy. The IRG focuses on the study, development and application of systems methods for infrastructure decision making to promote sustainable development.

Adjo Amekudzi-Kennedy influences students in her Georgia Tech classes every day when it comes to sustainability and development in the developing world. She took that even further Oct. 2 as one of the main speakers at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’sfirst-ever International Youth Environmental Symposiumin Atlanta.
